Our Story
Sanmati is a family business from Shrirampur. We began with masale, a flour mill, and daily grocery items, not a full sweets shop. Over time customers asked for more, and we grew into spices, flours, mithai, and other lines you see today. We supply buyers across Maharashtra and India. The idea is unchanged: sell what we are willing to use in our own kitchen.
Why Sanmati
Key Highlights
Our Heritage
From one shop to many tables
In the early years it was a small setup in Shrirampur built around masale and a flour mill, plus the usual dry goods. Sweets were a sideline, not the main draw. Family ran the counter. Buyers checked masala color and aroma, how the freshly milled atta behaved, and whether weights were fair. They came back when results in the kitchen were right.
Referrals did more for us than advertising ever could. As orders rose we spent on better grinders, cleaner work areas, and staff training. Record keeping for suppliers and retailers, and hygiene checks before dispatch, became standard practice as volumes grew.
We now supply a much wider area than that single lane could hold, including customers and stockists across India, while our base stays in Maharashtra. Sample checks and batch records are stricter than in the shop days, but the target is unchanged: send out product we would not hesitate to cook with ourselves.

Milestones
Our Journey
A short history in dates: from one retail shop in 1995 to a setup that serves households and trade across Maharashtra and the rest of India.
Masala, mill, and a small counter
We started in Shrirampur with everyday masale, a flour mill, and basic grocery items. Sweets were only a small part of the counter. Family ran the place and learned the trade from daily customers.
More footfall, tighter checks
Word spread and people started traveling from nearby areas. We wrote down sourcing steps, cleaning routines, and packing checks so quality stayed steady as volume went up.
Wider range
As demand grew we added more packaged lines, including sweets and snacks alongside spices and flours. Retailers asked for consistent supply, so we organized production and stock the way they needed it.
Scaling up
We invested in updated processing and packaging to serve shops and distributors on schedule. The core items still reflect what people first knew us for at the mill and the spice counter.
Maharashtra roots, India-wide
We remain based in Shrirampur and strong across Maharashtra, and we now supply homes and trade partners in other states too. Most of our growth still comes from repeat buyers who tried the product once and came back.

Our vision
To stay a name people associate with clean packing, natural ingredients, and taste that matches what they expect from a long-running Indian food brand. No gimmicks, just consistent product.
Our mission
Source carefully, process under the food-safety and labelling requirements that apply to us, and keep pack text accurate. Where a traditional method gives better flavor or texture, we keep it. Where modern equipment improves safety or shelf life, we use it.
Our commitment
We do not skip steps on hygiene or testing. If a lot fails our check, it does not leave the plant. That was true when everything fit behind one shop front, and it is true now.
