Method

    In a mixing bowl, add chakli mix, butter, sesame seeds, ajwain, and spices

  2. 2

    Mix well and gradually add water to make a smooth and soft dough

  3. 3

    Grease a chakli mould and fill with dough

  4. 4

    Press spirals of chakli on butter paper or clean cloth

  5. 5

    Heat oil in a kadhai, and deep fry chaklis until golden and crispy

  6. 6

    Drain on tissue paper to remove excess oil

  7. 7

    Cool completely before storing in an airtight container

Notes

  • Fry on medium flame for uniform crispiness
  • Don’t overcrowd chaklis while frying
  • Add a little rice flour if dough feels too soft
